"Bishop Jolley" is no longer just my Father-in-law's name

On Sunday my husband was sustained as the Bishop of our ward. Isn't that crazy!? Aren't we too young to be doing this? Although, I do feel like I've aged 3 years in the past 3 months. Too many grown up things happening: Getting a mortgage, sending a kid to school and becoming the Bishop's wife. I still think of myself as a young mother fresh out of college, but I'm really not so fresh anymore!

I am humbled, overwhelmed and excited to support my husband in this calling. I know he'll do an incredible job. We love the people in our ward; they have truly been our Seattle family. We felt their support on Sunday and it meant so much. What a beautiful church we belong to where we get to serve and help one another.

We also enjoyed a quick 24 hour visit with Grandma and Grandpa Jolley who came to share the day with us. It was so wonderful to have them here. Thank you so much for your love and support!

Don't worry Jill, you ARE young and fresh and will be the perfect Bishop's wife. He is so lucky to have you by his side and supporting him. I know that you know it will not always be that easy so don't be afraid to take those sweet sisters up on all their offers of help and we want to help where we can.

It was certainly our pleasure to be there and share in the joy of that day.

It's just so wonderful! I'm so happy for you guys! Sheesh Jill, you are super wife. That is for sure! I'm trying to get used to Michael being gone all day for school so I can prepare for him being a busy accountant someday... and now your husband is the bishop- sheesh!!!

And you're totally still fresh haha!!!

How exciting!!! THat is just so cool!! Don't worry, i still think of you as a young fresh mom right out of college too!! When my mom told me that he was bishop i was like "is he old enough to be a Bishop?" I know he'll be AWESOME and that ward is so lucky!

Wow! Jill you are younger than most bishop's wives but that doesn't mean you aren't suited for the job. Good luck with the calling, both of you. It will be such a blessing to your family.

up, you are too fresh, way fresh! I am so impressed, but not at all surprised for Darren's calling, my mom told me about it on Sunday, so cool. What a great (and BUSY) but also rewarding calling! We'll all start calling him "Bish"

YOU, Jill, are still young and hip...it's your hubby that is an old man-- does he need to get a knee replacement soon?

Wowza on the calling... and we all know that it's the wife that puts a man there, good work. :)

You are a great family and you'll be a great example for the ward.

Much love to the Jolleys.

We are a lucky ward to have you both! I actually had no idea he was the new Bishop! We have been out of touch lately, Ryan has a crazy work schedule and I have been falling a bit behind in my attendance and everything else for that matter! I honestly can't think of anyone better for the job though, you are both so great and so welcoming and warm to everyone, we are all so blessed! Oh and I agree with everyone else, you are still totally fresh Jill ;)

What the heck. I mean, I'm not surprised because I can't think of more awesome people but WOW. Congratulations or my condolences. Whichever way you look at it...haha. I'm sure it will be hard to have him gone with church more often but I know you both can handle it!

Wow. The last Bishop Jolley I knew was Bruce, and Darren and I were teenagers. I can't imagine how much closer you will be as a family and the blessings that will flow. Tell Darren "hi" and this makes me feel really old. Are we all really this old...to be in this stage of life?
