While I make dinner...

...look what my kids are doing. Unless there's something on TV, they pretty much insist on being in the same room as me. Which is why there's usually something on the TV while I make dinner. But last night it was off, and I thought they came up with some pretty interesting things to do in the kitchen.

Joseph is transporting condiments from the fridge to the cupboard with "the jaws of life" (salad tongs).Justin is moving spaghetti noodles one by one from the package into my pasta container.

I know what you mean about having the T.V. on while you make dinner. Sometimes I have to use it while I shower too. It looks like you are having tons of fun with your kids. I love being able to see what you are doing and keeping in touch with you this way. If you are going to be in Utah around Christmas we should get together or something.

Ha Ha! I love it! I love the little things that kids find to entertain themselves...and it never seems to be their toys. And why is it they always have to be within a two feet radius of where ever their mommy is? Seriously, can't I even have a little privacy when I go to the bathroom?!?

Hey Jill,
I was thinking the same thing, you are very patient! It's fun having them want to be near you and playing so well. They are so cute!!! Please give them a kiss for me.
It was fun to talk to you the other day and I wish you could have joined us in Rexburg, we went by your house & apartment many times and thought of you guys. It was great.
Love to all!

The pasta thing is a good idea. My little ones usually take all the spices off my spice rack...and then lose them.

they are so cute! What did you do when they were babies and you needed to get dinner ready? I need tips. I have to get dinner started whenever she is sleeping. So dinner is usually ready by 3:00. Then I have to heat it up. Any tips?

Jill you are such a nice mom to let them explore in your kitchen. My kids would think you are the best mom ever. I love how you put little Joseph to work, one noodle at a time. What helpful boys. What a fun mommy, and that apple pie looked gorgeous! Good job!
